The resort is the best resort my husband and I have ever been to, and we have had the pleasure to stay at many fine resorts in Mexico, US, and Hawaii. The room was clean, large, and inviting with a lovely view of the pools/ocean. The food, whether a buffet, room service, pool side, or one of the amazing restaurants, was always delicious. The five different pools were large and even with many people at the resort, had enough space so you never felt crowded and could actually swim (the cold pool was very refreshing on a super hot day). But above all was the service. Everyone was so polite, spoke amazing English, and would do anything to make your stay a pleasure. A special call-out to Luciano who helped us by the pool. I don't think we ever went 5 minutes after finishing a drink or food where he wasn't there checking on us. An extra special thank you to our concierge Carolina. Carolina was so accommodating, had great tips on places to see, and was fun to talk to as well. We mentioned to her we had been to Cozumel for our honeymoon and 13 years later, this was our second honeymoon courtesy of a work event. On our last night at the resort we came back from dinner to be greeted by a romantic set-up, with a bubble-bath ready, rose petals scattered on top, swan towels on our bed, champagne waiting for us, and a special hand-written note. We had already had an amazing time, but the extra small touches made this our favorite resort, we will definitely be back.

Having travel extensively throughout the United States, Caribbean and Europe, our family has stayed at some pretty amazing places. Grand Velas, with it's luxurious, laid-back elegance tops the list. Every component of our vacation experience - from the moment we arrived to our return transfer was executed flawlessly by the attentive staff. Gorgeous rooms, spectacular pools, impeccable grounds and delicious meals; just an incredible escape!

What an incredible experience with delicious courses of French food. Our server, Francisco, was very helpful, prompt and exceptional at his job. All the food and staff are top notch!!
